WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BUILD PEDRO POINT CREATIVE?
I am a Tiger and a Gemini. I possess the Yin and Yang dual personality characteristics. I am fiercely independent, work smart, dream big and at the same time, I love staying inside cooking, sewing, creating crafts and hanging out with my children. My position as an Executive Assistant to the Publisher of a leading business magazine and working at an incentive travel company offered me an opportunity to observe and execute the event planning process, from start to finish. I'm also a kitchenista who loves culinary equipment. Not any kind of equipment but…the very best. PPC brings all those aspects together. It's about gathering together around our love of food. Whether it's an event for family and friends or a special chef's class or corporate team building, the idea is to have the best space with the best equipment and our team at PPC to support you. Pedro Point Creative was built to be a nexus for the culinary community.

WHAT DOES CULINARY COMMUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
I am a proud native of San Francisco. The ritual of gathering family and friends together to share a meal and to celebrate has been central to my culture and life. Growing up in San Francisco, I was surrounded by an abundance of the best fruits, vegetables, and the many unique ingredients in Asian cooking. During the 70s, I lived in Gatorville, married student housing at San Francisco State University with my mother and sisters. It was a progressive community of students determined to eat naturally. I learned about chemical-free foods and the health risks associated with eating processed foods. I want PPC to be a gathering place that exemplifies the progressive and creative culinary ideas that have sprung so richly from this amazing community we live in.

WHO WAS YOUR BIGGEST CULINARY INSPIRATION?
My first mother-in-law inspired me, or I should say it was by an opportunity that arose while visiting her home for family dinners. Her approach was relaxed: She would talk, nurse cocktails, and watch television while languidly prepping and cooking. She rarely allowed anyone to help, and dinner was often served at 10 p.m. During the wait, I discovered a wonderful collection of cookbooks and magazines, which gave me a sense of appreciation; they also inspired and educated me. Years later, I have learned to meticulously and flawlessly execute large parties with style and grace. I accomplished this with a new mother-in-law who loves to entertain.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS FOR PEDRO POINT CREATIVE?
To create, inspire, and entertain. That is the heart of Pedro Point Creative and that is the opportunity I want to offer everybody who walks through our doors.
